Anthony Lemieux talks with Trevor about the recent scandal with CIA director, General David Petraeus, regarding his infidelity after 37 years of marriage as well as the future of national security.

Anthony is a social psychologist who has had a long standing interest in terrorism. In college his focus narrowed to issues of intergroup and political violence, as well as genocide. Over time, he has become especially curious about terrorism as a particular form of intergroup violence.

Guest: Dr. John Gottman, author of What Makes Love Last?, an instructional book geared towards building trust in loving relationships.

Do you trust your partner? In his new book, What Makes Love Last?, celebrated research psychologist and couples counselor Dr. John Gottman delves into the mysteries of love: Where does it come from? Why does some love last, and why does some fade? Dr. Gottman has spent decades observing the conversational patterns and biorhythms of the thousands and thousands of couples in his “Love Lab.”

The book shows readers how to identify signs, behaviors, and attitudes that indicate sexual and other forms of betrayal, and provides strategies for repairing what may seem lost or broken.
